( HOUSE RANKS )
HEAD: The Head of any three of the Houses is what you would think: they are the leader. They rule the House and have a final say in anything diplomatic with the other two Houses. The Head can also banish a feline out from the family and strip them of their status. In terms of the ruling House (which is currently the Raliette House) the Head is also seen as the boss over the city of Truslinia. They control the officers in the city and can do as they want with the laws.
HEAD IN TRAINING: The Head in Training is usually always one of the sons or daughters of the Head's first litter. Any other requirements are chosen by the Head of the corresponding family. In the Raliette House, it has been tradition that the sons of the Head's first litter to fight to the death to gain the spot. The reasoning is to weed out to the weak and to keep the Raliette head tradition as it is...and the Head in Training in Raliette is always a son, never a daughter. In Fahrin and Drestine, the methods are less extreme. They both just choose the oldest, the firstborn kit from their first litter whether that be a son or daughter. If the Head in Training proves that they are not able to handle the position as Head, the Head can give the position to a different kit that deserves the position more.
MADAME: The Madame is the mate to the Head, but she has little to no power in what goes on. Only the Fahrin Madame can have any chance in saying what she feels is needed and have the chance to be heard. In Raliette, the Madame is nothing more than a title above the head of the other females in the House. She is looked at as being the "Head She-Cat" and can order the others around. She has no power against the Head though and can't do anything without his jurisdiction. In Drestine, she may or may not have any power. It depends on the Head and how much the couple actually loves one another. If the Head of the family is a female (which is known to happen, more often then not in the Fahrin House) then the male version of the Madame is the Master. GRAND DUKE AND DUCHESS: The Grand Duke and Duchess are the top authority figures below the Head and Madame; they are also a mated pair. They are there to serve as guidance counselors to the Head. They are allowed to share their thoughts to the Head no matter on what subject and by all the gods, the Head needed to listen and take in what they say. However, they have no power of their own against what the Head does and just like all the other ranks, they are under the Head's mercy. In the Raliette House, it is a known fact that the Head and the Grand Duchess have a "behind-the-scenes" relationship that might almost make them look like mates...to an extent.
DUKES AND DUCHESSES: Dukes and Duchesses are mated pairs amongst one another. They are also mated for life, so even if one dies, they cannot take on another mate. This is to keep alignments easy to read and to keep corruption out of the families themselves...mostly. Although they have a ranking, they have no power and no authority. The only thing that this rank means is that they have come into the line of adult nobility and have earned their ranking as a trusted feline in the House.
BARONS AND BARONESSES: Like the other rankings, Barons and Baronesses must be mated to have the rank. They are much like the Dukes and Duchesses in the way that they are the other felines in the House that don't hold a higher ranking. The only and main difference is that unlike Dukes and Duchesses, they are not trusted by the Head. Whether it is the Baron or the Baroness or both, these are the ones that are on a thin leash and needs to be careful of what they do to make sure that they don't get banished from the House. The Raliette House has more Barons and Baronesses than either of the other Houses.
SONS AND DAUGHTERS: The Sons and Daughters are the kits and adolescents of the Houses. They are kept in the ranking until they reach the age of twenty moons when the Head of the family can correctly claim that he/she can tell whether or not they trust the individuals. However, before they can claim their spot in the House, they need to have a mate already picked out - whether by love or not - and they both must be at least twenty moons. Because of this, there are many Sons and Daughters that are over that age for whatever reasons. Two of the most common reasons are one, their wanted mate is not old enough to gain a position as of it or two, they haven't chosen a mate yet/don't want a mate.

( TRUSLINIA RANKS )
OFFICERS OF THE LAW
CHIEF: The chief is a one cat ranking and he is the one that watches over Truslinia from inside the city. He takes order directly from the Head of Raliette and is obligated to do whatever the Head orders. The chief is chosen by the head and is usually chosen from the prosecutors. It is rare for anyone to ever be chosen directly off the street because the Head of Raliette needs to be able to trust the chief to do his dirty work within the city and to hold up the city's decaying image. The chief will usually be as corrupted as the Raliette House in some ways and he must care only about himself. He is usually merciless and doesn't care about the innocents that he is forced to arrest by the Head's order.
DEPUTY: The deputy is second in command. He is chosen by the chief and takes orders directly from the chief. If the Head cannot get into contact with the chief for whatever reason, the deputy will usually act as a median in such a case. He will usually be the one to actually carry out the orders given to the chief and will usually go along with the prosecutors to carry out the orders from the Head. His personality usually differs, but usually they will be a lot like the chief, but will be more submissive. He can be a bit more passionate in some terms, but will do whatever he is ordered to do. He can also order arrests if he feels like someone deserves to be arrested or if he even just has some beef with a cat. However, both the Head and the chief can veto and arrest if they so please.
PROSECUTOR: These are the felines that does the dirty work for the deputy and chief. If there is to be a punishment of any kind ,they are the ones to carry out that punishment. They are usually malicious in nature to support some of the punishments such as execution, but they also generally know their place beneath the deputy and chief. They can give no orders, even to those lower than them in the detective and officer rankings. Most felines in the law enforcement sector have goals to get at least this fair in the hierarchy, though only a few dream of riding higher because they know the unlikeness of getting that far. Most find this a pretty good ranking in general, just because they might like to torture felines or looking forward to killing with everyone knowing it and not have to hide from it. There are generally no more than three at one time.
DETECTIVES: Detectives are a bit more prestigious position than the officers, but it is still low on the corrupted food chain. The detectives are the ones that respond to the scene of a crime - no matter how long it takes them to get there, which could be days later - and try to figure out the cause and what not. But more importantly, they are there to tell the citizens of Truslinia who is the next one on the Wanted List and they often blame felines who didn't do it according to who the higher ups want on the Wanted List or who the Raliette Head is interested in next. Up, that's right, they do all the minor dirty work when it comes to public relations. In the beginning the felines blamed these felines the most for how corrupted the city was becoming until they started to realize that the detectives were just doing their jobs and that their job description was just corrupted by nature.
OFFICERS: So I mentioned that the detectives did the minor dirty work, but that's because the officers do the real dirty work. The move high and low looking for the felines on the Wanted List. If they have a lead or are completely stumped, only then do they go to look for crimes happening currently in the city, but they are not there to help the common folk of the city. They are only out there to sniff out the felines that are Wanted and bring them in for "justice." They are the only felines in the Officers of the Law that have the potential to get their claws and pelts dirty with blood. Usually these felines are stronger with muscles rippling their pelts - the thug type of enforcers if you will because they tend to also be used as body guards to some of the paranoid Royal felines or those Royal or higher up felines that simpliy want to go for the intimidation factor from the start of the meeting.
COMMON WORKING FOLKS
Side-Note: Every feline in Truslinia with a ranking that falls under this category has an ability. These are not powers and they can't be effectively used outside their job. A feline can decide to do one job, gain that ability, and then later decide to switch professions to move into a different area. However, if they change their profession for whatever reason, their abilities also switch to match that change. A feline cannot have more than one profession and they cannot have more than one ability at any given time.
CARPENTERS: Carpenters are the felines in the city that are responsible for building all of the stores and houses in the city. They do a lot of contract work with the Houses in order to build the additions onto a few areas of their castles or to build certain buildings around the palaces. Some of the carpenters that don't do as many high-ranking contract jobs also tend to use their abilities with an artistic edge on the side. When a feline decides that they want to be a carpenter, they are given the ability to cut and mold wood together. All they need to do is picture the length or shape of the wood that they want to create and within a few minutes - or sometimes longer depending on the feline's skill level - the board will cut itself into the shape. The more a feline uses this in practice, the stronger and faster they become.
JEWELRY MAKERS: Jewelry makers are in charge of making all the beautiful little charms that you can see being sold everywhere in the streets in the city. They are high on the importance ladder when it comes to the Truslinia rankings because everyone from the top to bottom want their services in order to make sure that they look better even when the time are hard. Every feline that chooses this profession are given the ability to create both their own masterpieces of jewelry with whatever gems and metals they stumble upon - usually outside of Truslinia - as well as knock-offs of the Items of the House and the Items of the Gods. Legend says that there are times when the powers of the real items disappear and the gods have to give a certain feline the ability to create a new items to hold the powers...but that is largely a myth.
BARTENDERS: Bartenders are the felines that hang-out in the city from the early hours of the evening to the wee hours of the morning the following day. They tend to be a bit more nocturnal in spirit than the average feline and they always see their care of trouble in ans around the bars. This profession is dominated by toms mainly because females don't want to degrade themselves enough to do it or they are afraid of what consequences might come from the job if a male has a little too much to drink. Bartenders have the ability to take water, mix in a few herbs, and give the water a taste that is different depending on the herbs used. Their ability also allows them to give their own creations a taste that is solely their own to keep themselves in business and to keep others from taking over their job. Felines can and do get the "drunk" sensation from these concoctions.
REPORTERS: Reporters are the felines that keep everyone up to date on the happenings in the city and with the Houses. If you want to hear the latest gossip or the latest tidbits of fights that have happened or the murders that have been committed or the specific hot spots in the city where crime is in abundance, all you need to do is find one of these felines, pay their fee, and they'll tell you the information that you are dying to know. When it comes to their ability, reporters are a little bit different. They have a sort of "all-knowing" ability where as soon as something happens, they get this feeling, this instinct, that drive them towards the spot and they instantly can see small details that lead them to understand what took place. The Houses have used reporters before as ways to know who is a threat to them and who isn't, but they aren't always fully reliable when trying to pinpoint a victim or who committed it. Different reporters have different strengths in where what type of crimes their instincts take them.
SHOPKEEPERS: Shopkeepers is one of the lower ranked felines in the city because they are dependent on a couple of the other rankings for their survival. They manage and run shops that sell items from jewelry to things made my carpenters in their free time. The shopkeeper's ability is an eye for detail that allows then to see what is worth what and what they should really sell an item for and whether or not the price asked by their provider is acceptable. They keep things from becoming too expensive for the average citizen. Their ability also allows them to see what might appeal to a potential customer - just in case a feline is unsure what they want to get. Being a shopkeeper is usually a profession that runs in families that stick strictly to tradition or felines that want to down-play their appearance, like say, when they're in a gang.
HOUSEKEEPERS: Housekeepers are the lowest of the lowest. They are the ones that no-one really wants to be but they might not have any choice or the choice is all part of a strategy in their head. Housekeepers are hired to clean or watch houses either in the city or the palaces of the Royalty Houses. Their abilities allow them to make dirt and dust disappear from the inside of a house. The more training or the longer a feline has been a housekeeper, the more effective they are. Some felines that participate in the gangs choose to be housekeepers in their see-able professions so that they have easy access into some of the more prestigious Houses when they become better and can rely that information back to the gangs in secret.
THE OUTLAWS:
THIEVES: Thieves are the lowest level of outlaws available. Many are allowed to stay in the city and allowed to stay out of the police force's eyes even after multiple accounts put against their names. Some thieves even masquerade in the day time as a common working folk and then merely steal in the night against their enemies or merely for some fun. There are others though that steal because they have no other way to really make a living. Thieves tend to be younger felines that are not yet allowed or can't gain a profession. The only time a thief may be actively sought out by the police force is when they steal from a feline from any of the three Houses.
MURDERS & ASSASSINS: Since the two of them are so close to being the same, they are combined here for the descriptions. Murders and assassins are both groups of felines that actively choose to kill other felines for whatever reason they have. They are not "accidents" even though there are times when a murderer might say that it had been. The difference between these two types of felines is the assassins are paid for the murders...usually by someone the houses although there are times a feline the city will contract an assassin to kill another city feline or a House feline. Murders and assassins alike take false names usually to hide their identity and assassins also use them to gain contracts and fame throughout the city.
BANISHED: Banished felines are felines that are not allowed to stay within the boundaries of Truslinia. There aren't many felines that get to this status, but there are few. Usually they are felines that don't do anything to risk the life of the Raliette Head or any of the main Raliette felines. Usually these felines will be guilty of treason against the other two Houses and the members that were at risk will seek the opo9lice force to correct the err and this is the best option for the police force to do it in that moment. Banished felines are given a mark on their forehead of a red, green, or blue "B" depending on the House that took the offense. If a banished feline is founds within the city of Truslinia or within in the territory of the House the offense was made against, they will be killed on sight...or at the very least taken to the police to be killed. It is sort of like a second, but last chance.
GANGSTERS & CORRUPTORS: Since these two can also be easily explained today, then they will be here. These fare felines that want to change the flow of power throughout the city in one form or another. Gangsters typically want to get rid of the Raliette House or any of the Houses and change up the power structure across the city. Corruptors on the other hand have no preferences. They will work for both the Gangs and for the Houses - whoever will pay them better and whoever they might have a small preference for. You can think of these two the same what as murders and assassins - one gets paid the other doesn't. Corruptors, like murders and assassins will sometimes also create an alias to work with.

( GANG RANKS )
Note: You cannot sign up for a spot in a gang through a biography. You have two options to get a character within a gang. You can either message the role-player of the Kaiser of the gang or if there is no Kaiser, then message me and I can get you in it as well. Another viable option if you wish is to actually get your character to join in character.
KAISER: The Kaiser is the leader of the gang. They have the most authority and they have all the power generally. If they give out an order, than those below them have to follow their lead. Generally a Kaiser will be a son or daughter of the previous Kaiser, or if there is no living relative the previous Kaiser wants to follow in their footsteps, then it'll go to a trusted friend. If the Kaiser dies suddenly or is captured without appointing someone else beforehand as a back-up, then the deputy will take over. Kaisers tend to do all the heavy planning and hard-thinking. They take much of the blame for the workings of the gangs making them the most sought after member in the gangs. Generally when a new Kaiser takes over, the Raliette House and police force won't stop looking for the previous Kaiser for the crimes he/she committed during their time.
DEPUTY: The deputy's rank differs depending on the gang and depending on the current Kaiser and how he/she wants to handle their deputy. Deputies are second in command of the gangs and they take over the gang when there is no clear successor. There are some gangs, like the Moonlit Avengers where the deputy is just a name rank...they don't actually do anything. They might have some powers to command the lower-ranking members or be given the opportunity to lead a mission, but most of the time those ideas are left to the chief. In other gangs, like the Sacred Faiths, the deputy does most of the dirty-work commanding so the Kaiser - who tends to be the keeper of important, secret information - won't be in danger of being caught. And still in other gangs, like the Freedom Fighters, they are somewhere in the middle depending, as said earlier, on the Kaiser.
CHIEF: The Chief is next on the hierarchy ladder. While the Kaiser and Deputy have all around control, the Chief is on charge of commanding the forces directly. The Kaiser and/of the Deputy will usually approach the Chief with orders as to what the forces below should do. The forces will usually talk to the Chief as well instead of the Kaiser or Deputy when they figure out information or when they have ideas or problems. You could say that the Chief acts as an intermediate step of information and plans making them a good target for the police forces as well since they do tend to piece together things they shouldn't be aware of...but they don't usually get on the Wanted Lists since they aren't high enough publicly to attract much attention to themselves. Every now and again though, they might find their names and descriptions up there.
INFILTRATORS: Infiltrators are felines that go into the Houses (possibly as Housekeepers or another ranking) or even into the Police Force and try to create some corruption for the gang's favor from within...or they will merely try to get information out to the gang. The Freedom Fighters gang has more infiltrators than Warriors and Spokesmen combined.
WARRIORS: Warriors are the bulk of the gang - felines that are ready to fight for the gang's cause no matter when they are called upon to do so. They train night and day to fight well and they won't give up when the horn is blown for the battle to begin. The Moonlit Avengers have more Warriors than Infiltrators and Spokesmen combined.
SPOKESMEN: Spokesmen are merely felines that go out into the city and pass along word about what the gang is currently doing, what they hope to achieve in a given amount of time, and trying to recruit more felines to join their cause. The Sacred Faith gang has more Spokesmen than Infiltrators or Warriors combined, but they are really good at sticking to the shadows so they don't bring any light to the felines that shouldn't know about the gang's workings.
SUPPORTERS: Supporters are the lowest ranking members because they don't really do anything. They are merely there to back-up the gang's messages and give them a stronger back and make them feel (when the gangs care) that there are other felines that are willing to help them when the final battles comes into play. So yes, these felines may be called to fight, but only when it is needed and when there is no other way around it - usually only when the gang plans to confront one of the Houses.
