( HOUSE GODS )
Gods mold the world around them to fit their needs and their desires of what the world should be in their eyes. Some gods are more powerful than others. It is how the world works and it is merely the law of the world. Legends speak of three gods ruling over the lands of Truslinia. Those gods are here according to the houses and are here to help their houses. Or, as some believe it, the other way around. Some legends speak that the Houses fight each other only when the gods in the skies above fight one another. The power a god has and the more easily they may be able to defeat the other, is given to them by how well the Houses fight each other. If the Fahrin house challenges the Ralliete House, for example, legend says that the gods will be fighting the same battle. The more victories the Fahrin House has, the stronger their god will be in the battle. If they when the war, so will their god. This process however, is not know by many of Truslinia, but known to many of the Houses.
But only those who wish to care, do know the legends at all. The following three replies will stem off about each of the three gods, who they are, what they are, and a short bit about their history.
How to Adopt a God to RP:
Before you do anything else, you must have one other character created to try to adopt a god or goddess. In addition, that character must have been posted in character at least once. After you achieve both of these points, then you can PM me for a try-out for the god.
The try-out must include:
An detailed description of the god's appearance, personality and history using the bullets listed as guidelines - stay in those guidelines, but don't feel afraid to expand it and make the character your own. If you want another event added to their history anywhere, feel free to add it to the try-out and you'll be notified about the change and whether or not it has been accepted. If you add an event, please either underline it or italicize it so that I can easily identify the event in the history. You will also need to include a detailed RP sample in your try-out so I can get a feel how you and the god will work together.
You may not get results back right away. You may not be accepted. I may ask you to consider trying for another god or I might suggest some changes to the way you have the god set up. You need to be aware that these gods are not normal characters. They are powerful characters with a lot of responsibilities. If you can't commit to being active, you might want to rethink trying-out. However, I do understand that things come up, things happen, but as long as you don't plan on leaving the site a few days after getting the god position, than you should be okay.
NOTE!
Zerachiel will be an important god, so if you want to RP him you need to make sure you plan to stay active. Also, if you have noticed, his history is pretty thin. There is a reason for that. There will be no history really required for him, but when someone wishes to RP him, please PM me first before filling out his bio. That way I can get you some bullets for his real history and fill you in on some information that you will need to know. If you want to RP him, you need to have RPed a character in three or more posts (notice that I said posts, not threads). There is a plot that involves him, so be aware of that.
QUESTION!
If you're so worried about members RPing gods and not staying active, why aren't you and other staff members (when you get some) RPing them instead?
Because I don't believe that it needs to be the staff's responsibility to RP the gods. I have RPed gods on an old site of mine because there were so many of them, but for this site I really want members to be in charge of where the site goes and giving members control of the gods is one way to do that. Member RPed gods can interact together and members can change the way they interact with each in character. I like to think of myself admin, only here to keep the peace...which is also why I don't like having too many staff members at one time.
ONE OTHER NOTE
All legends are true in one way or another - take this and bend it to what you want of the gods of your choosing.
